Should I stay in Hong Kong or?

Jump to last reply

I have a 5 day break in Hong Kong on my travel in early Nov. The question i have is, should i stay in Hong Kong and spend the 5 days there or venture out to Hanoi or Siem Reap.

I was quite interested in exploring Hong Kong, but i live in a big city now (NYC), so was wondering if i might get a taste of same -same. I can quite understand HK is very much different from NYC, and also has quite a few island, hikes etc, but i am still not convinced if its worth spending that time in HK. Also, HK is on a route i travel at least once a year, so i can always stop over another time.

Hanoi - I have heard lots about this fascinating city, I feel like it might give me a bit more "thrill" than HK as in its more rough around the edges. I don't plan to go to Halong bay, i would prefer to stay in Hanoi and slowly take in the city.

Siem Reap - Who doesn't have this on the travel list. Although i am afraid if i might get only get two full days based on the flight schedule from HK. on the plus, i will get two night in HK as well. I dont see myself getting a chance to go to cambodia any time in the near future.

Would like to get your opinion or suggestions. Thanks.
