shopping range hotel in Bangkok

There are going to be a couple of oberlapping nights when I need a couple of rooms for about $80 US/night each that need to be near shopping. I'm looking at the Majestic Grande...
Any suggestions?

Most of the regular booking sites do not have Omni towers lisited. The following are the ones I could find.

Nothing wrong with the Asia. It is a good older 3 star hotel in which the rooms are showing their age. But they are clean and the hotel is in a great location, right beside the skytrain station and one stop away from all the popular shopping malls around Siam Square.

Another hotel you might consider is the Arnoma, oposite the Central World Plaza (formerlt known as the World Trade Centre). Also good shopping right nearby.

Actually I did look at Novotel... It was kind of a tossup, but I think the MG looks a little nicer,...

Lloyd, MG is a good choice. I toured the place, and have posted photos on my website at cjscollection, if you click on the left side of the page on the photo gallery link, and then click on the Asia folder. I've not stayed at MG, but I really like the Sacz restaurant on the lobby floor.
