We bought some things in Bali. They were to be shipped to Tampa but we have found out since coming back home our shipment is coming by boat to LA. Does anyone have a suggestion for the best way to get our shipment through customs and shipped by semi to Florida? Has anyone had experience with this? Thanks!

I've had related experience. Here's the generalized procedure.
If the shipment is consigned to you it will first be sent to a customs broker who will handle all the paperwork and then contact you to see what your pleasure would be as to forwarding. You will pay them any duty, their fees, and forwarding costs and a few days later you will have your stuff.
You need a freight forwarder.
But first, check the terms of your purchase. In order to get on the ship that's heading to LA, the seller most likely used a forwarder in Bali and that forwarder most likely has a connection at the port in LA. If you are the consignee and the destination is Tampa you may have already paid for transportation to Tampa.
Tariffs and charges involved in Customs clearance will be extra however.
