Hi
I have a 12 hour stop over in Singapour - unfortunatley it is from 17:30pm until 5:30am
What is there for me to do to pass the time and will there be any place within the airport for me to catch a little shut eye before the long flight back to the UK?
Shangi Airport

Opps! what is there for me to do apart from practice my spelling! Sorry.
There are transit rooms available - spartan but clean. You rent them by the 4 or 6 hour block. Check the Changi Airport website. You can reserve rooms over the web in advance. Since these rooms are often full an advance reservation is recommended.
There is lots of shopping, etc. in Changi. It's regularly rated one of the best airports in the world.
I understand that if you are in transit, you can get a tour from the airport of Changi Prison (a famous WWII POW camp), at no charge.
My personal philosophy is: I can always sleep on the plane, or when I get home.
Is this your first time in Singapore? We actually just spent our first time in Singapore in exactly the same way - a six hour layover. We hit a few antique stores that were rumoured to have some items we were looking for (but didn't), shopped until our feet were killing us, had the requisite Singapore Sling at Raffles (actually, I don't think they'll let you board your plane unless you've had a drink there), and a lovely dinner on Boat Quai. (I did want to go see the Merlion, but apparently they've moved it temporarily). We had a wonderful time - I highly recommend you spend your time in Singapore & sleep later!
