Does anyone know a good hotel around the Bund and within a few blocks of the Metro?
Somewhere around $100 or so. Thanks!
Shanghai, reasonable hotel near the Bund and public transport

We've stayed at the Seagull on the Bund, and intend to do so again. Their site has rooms for 651 RMB, which is about $100A, but I think it's worth updating to a river view if you can. It is just across the Garden Bridge, with fabulous views along the Bund and across to Pudong (Pearl Tower etc). Closest Metro is reasonable walking distance, Nanjing Rd East.Good luck.
You didn't mentioned when you are going because the rates go up at high tourist seasons. Check out the Bund Hotel, and the Astor House if you like old world charm, both are probably in your price range.
ThANK YOU cARRABELLA AND SHANHAINESE. AM CHECKING NOW.
