Seeking input on Malaysia itinerary

Jump to last reply

My wife and I are retired and planning a trip to Malaysia. We are not divers but snorkel. We are looking for better places to stay. Input on the following possible destinations would be appreciated.

1. Pangkor Laut Resort
2. Kota Bharu (Renaissance Hotel)
3. Besar (Perhuntian Island Resort or Tuna Bay Island Resort)
4. Pulau Tioman (Japamala Resort)

In KL, we would be inclined to stay at the Hilton or similar chain. As to internal transport, we have not yet dug into the details except that we are interested in the daytime train between Gemas and Kota Bharu.

Input as to the above or other thoughts would be much appreciated.
