Sapa vs. BA Be Lake and Ban Gioc Waterfall
We are planning our trip to Vietnam for November 2011 and are looking at taking a trip up to the northern area. Both Sapa and the area around Cao Bang (specifically Ba Be Lake and the Ban Gioc waterfall) are enticing. We are leaning towards Cao Bang right now, partly because so few people go there so it is different and partly because we love waterfalls and lakes, but the friends going with us are leaning towards Sapa (mostly on the recommendation of a friend - they haven't done much research yet). Just wondering if anyone has thoughts on either.
