Santa Maria travel agency booking confirmation

We contacted SM travel exactly one month ago and submitted a wish list for 2 weeks in Myanmar in October (Yangon, Bagan, Mandalay, Kalaw, Inle) . They responded a few days later with a rough itinerary, which we tweaked (it was so hectic) and sent back to them. We received a reply asking us to be patient while they finalize the hotel bookings. Then we received another email asking for understanding and patience as it seems all the original hotel suggestions (which were all highly rated) were full and they had to research other possibilities. I contacted them again a week ago and again got the "we are trying, please be patient" email.

Has the tourist infrastructure in Myanmar been pushed to its limit? Should I be worried? We needed to book our return flights to take advantage of some low prices from North America, but now I am wondering if I booked too soon.

Is one month a bit long to confirm details (hotel, flights) or am I not being patient enough? Our trip is 4 months away.
