Royal Orchid Sheration vs. 4 Points Sheraton Bangkok

Jump to last reply

On our next trip to BKK we will be using SPG points. I would like to hear from folks that have stayed at both of these hotels. We are at the lowest SPG level so I assume we would get the older rooms at the Royal Orchid not the tower rooms. Please compare the following:
1) Rooms- size, decor (new or needs a major makeover), bathroom (modern, double sinks, separate shower, makeup mirror)
2) Breakfast buffet- offered and if so at what price and what is the selection?
3) Transport- hotel boat to the skytrain- how often? Hotel tuk tuk?
4) How close is the skytrain or subway?
5) Upgrade to the club floor- what would it cost? Is it worth it?
6) Based on your experience - the good, the bad, the ugly.
7) What sights/shopping venues are close by?
