One person has repeatedly raved about Ritz, but we haven't done any.
However we just returned from the China Focus Travel HC(S) loss leader tour which was fabulous and highly recommended.
The local venues, local travel, and guides were world class. Hotels and meals far exceeded our expectations as it was such a bargain.
The international Air China flights were surprisingly OK as we had many hours of Ambien induced sleep - missed some in flight meals, but not a loss.
I'm not sure I could do more than the 13 days of (very good, but not real variable) Chinese food 3X a day.

We are leaving on the 20th of April on a Ritz tour. I'll be glad to let you know how it goes when we return. We had very little luck getting responses to your question on this board when we were trying to decide on a tour group. How did you decide upon Ritz?

We haven't decided yet on a tour. Ritz was mentioned on this site. It uses Air China, which I'm not sure about. Another one that we're considering is Pacific Delight, possibly the supervalue tours. Anyone have any information on this?

My daughter and I took a Pacific Delight tour to Thailand. LOVED it! I really felt that we got a good mix of organized tour and leisure time. Of course, I probably would have enjoyed just a bit more leisure time to do more exploring on my own, but really have no complaints about the tour.
It's rather long, but if you'd like to get an idea of the Pacific Delight Thailand tour that we took, you can see my trip report at:

We found them to be pretty good. I think in most respects, most of the tours area all the same. Depending on which package you have, the hotels were VERY nice as well as the food. Tour guides are hit and miss, but the ones we had were very good.

Check out China Focus. As another poster said it was a great tour with excellent guides. I only took the 12 day tour which was really fast paced (almost no free time) but my friends took the 22 day Yangtze river tour which included all I saw - they loved it. I would use China Focus again.
