The location is very acceptable. I've not been inside of it, but I stay at Renaissance Hotels in Zurich, Amsterdam, OHare Airport (park sleep fly rates), etc. I do like them.

Thank you for this wonderful tip, rhkkmk. I just cancelled our Courtyard Bangkok reservations, July 3-6, and booked this fantastic Renaissance deal. We'll be coming back through Bangkok after 3 weeks in Koh Samui.

Question for you regulars: Restaurants in the area or along the BTS? On past trips we always hit Baan Khanitha (liked the old location on Ruam Ruadee) and Harmonique. We have three nights in Bangkok on this upcoming trip-- suggestions, please? Looking for Thai and/or Indian. FACE looks good?

Thanks ALL.

Ps. I always enjoy and often times use your Tips/Suggestions, etc. -- because of them, we've booked Adelphi (love it!) and ROS (my fav!) in the past.

I am going to book this today. Not going to bother with the club room just a regular, includes breakfast, free wifi 30% off spa treatments, early and late check in/out £118 for 2 nights!!!!
Thanks Bob for the tip. I had planned to book the IC with the friends and family rate but this is even better deal....don't feel so bad about upgrading my room in Bagan now.....

David, Kinarree on Sukhumvit soi 8 (not very far down the soi from BTS at Nana) is always good. I like the ambiance as well. It is Thai. The place is like a house and it sits back from the soi, down a 'driveway' of sorts. It's on the left side.

Face is also good. I've not been there for a few years.

For good people watching, and good food, also on soi 8 there is Via Vai/White Bar for Italian and Monsoon at Adelphi Suites hotel lobby for a variety menu. These both have nice outside dining terraces if the weather is good. I eat at both of these all the time.

You do find some good deals Bob. Only wish I was planning a 2011 trip to BKK in order to use this one. I know your next trip is in Oct, will you be able to use this one?

Amazing property with an excellent location. We stayed there last December and with such a low rate, you cannot go wrong here ... see my review with photos here: http://milepoint.com/forums/threads/...ong-hotel.835/
