Please recommend good place to have Sunday Brunch. My wife and I are inviting her family for wedding meal. We are looking for buffet brunch with a family atmosphere, moderate priced, wide variety of foods with emphasis on seafood.

There will we 24 of us in our party; 14 adults and 10 children. They are all Singaporean Chinese and I am only westerner.

I very much enjoyed sunday brunch at The Four Seasons hotel, the buffet had almost everything one could possibly want.

Yes, Four Season Hotel serves a great sunday brunch, but this does not fall under "moderate" priced.

Their buffet is considered of high quality with matching ambience which reflects in the price.

If price is not an issue, their buffet is among the best in Singapore.

Hi bp, I am assuming that you are an expat and with the celebratory aspect of a wedding brunch situation it can be quite tricky particularly if you are on a budget. If you are a member of a club though I would suggest calling them and asking the club to arrange a special brunch within your budget in one of their private dining rooms. The American Club does this in both the Chinese Restaurant and the Presidential Room (you don't have to pay a room rental fee for a private dining room in either of these restaurants)and the local members as well as the expat members all say that the Chinese Restaurant is one of the best in town. The Eagle's Nest also has a fantastic family style Sunday Buffet Brunch at an unbelievably great price so for something low key and family oriented this is another excellent choice if you are thinking of something casual - no private dining room though. Inviting your extended family members to brunch at your club might be a great option for you and it imparts the proper level of importance to the occasion without having to blow your budget. If you don't belong to the American Club then your club will be able to arrange something similar. Another option outside of a private club might be Prima Revolving Restaurant on top of the Prima Tower overlooking Sentosa. They specialize in Beijing style cuisine and the Sunday Brunch is usually dim sum but I'm sure you can arrange something special for such a large group if you book in advance. The revolving part is fun for the children and it is always packed with multigenerational families so this might be a good option. I would also suggest brunch at mezza9 as they have child care available and it offers every style of cuisine imaginable as well as private dining rooms but I don't know if it is within your budget. Whatever option you choose it is a great idea to book a private dining room and/or your brunch menu in advance as most hotels, restaurants, and clubs will work within your budget to help you plan a menu and that way you also have control over the overall cost without getting any surprises when people begin ordering. How about Alkoff Mansion? I haven't eaten there yet, but it sounds like something different. Everytime I'm in Singapore I try to get to it, but never seem to. Happy Travels!
