Dubai will sell these days the former Cunard cruise liner Queen Elizabeth 2 to the Singapore investment company Oceanic Group. There was a plan for QE2 to be sold for scrap, but now this authentic oceanic passenger liner will be refitted to be used as a luxury hotel in Hong Kong!
these are really the QE2 ship lates news, which I first found here

I'm really sorry, guys, so ecstatic I forgot I post this info at Fodors earlier today! Sorry! But it's so good we are going to see this amazing ship in the future not only at Wikipedia.
you may also find interesting another article from Financial Times about why Dubai was considering the option of scrapping the liner earlier - its date is July 2, 2012 and is titled "Dubai to refit Queen Elizabeth 2 as hotel"

Thats good to know. I've seen the QE2 when Cunard had the ship in service and most recently I saw her in Dubai, the ship had definitely been neglected. I hope the QE2 does get to HK as outlined in the article above and put to good use as a luxury hotel. Hope she doesn't suffer from the same fate as the QE did in HK.
