Private guide and driver for India

Hi all and thanks for reading my post. I am looking for the names of a few highly regarded Indian tour operators who offer private guides and cars. I want to go to Gujarat in January.

Two off the top of my head: Castle and Kings, Legends and Palaces.

These two have gotten rave reviews from travelers here. I would note that likely every agent in India can/will arrange a car and driver and private guide.

I look forward to reading about your trip.

I used Indian Moments on my first visit to India and was very pleased. In particular, they were happy to make changes and additions for me along the way, which made it possible to inject a bit of spontaneity. They were able to get much better rates for me on particular places to stay than I could have gotten myself. I ended up with a very personal itinerary - planes, trains and car/driver, and more idiosyncratic accommodations than they ordinarily offered, at my request.

Gujarat sounds so interesting. We considered Indus Explorers for our last trip, they were really efficient and catered well to our every request. We were quite pleased with the arrangements and had a great time. Our point of contact was Pawan.

Working with both Tim and Faith (see website) I've used the advice and services of Indianpanorama many times.

Indianpanorama.in

See below for sample itineraries for Gujarat--just examples, as they are completely flexible and will customize to whatever you want.

Whomever/whicheer company you chose, Bushwoman, have a great time!!!

Note: there is currently quite a bit of political upheaval in the Gujurat State.
