I am interested in travelling to Nepal and Tibet in May for 2 months. I would like to fly to Kathmandu first and travel around Nepal and then travel overland into Tibet then cross back over into Nepal and fly out of Kathmandu. Is that possible to cross the border from Nepal into Tibet and back without using a tour? If a tour is necessary what is the cost? (I am Canadian. If that makes a difference in terms of Visa.)
As well, any recommendations of places or things to do in either country would be greatly appreciated. I have 2 months alloted.
Thanks, in advance.
