Burma features "Alice in Wonderland"

I stayed for 3 nights in pokhara at the end of November 2004/beg Dec. I had a car/driver from Kathmandu to Pokhara and stayed at the Fish Tail Lodge on the lake - only way to hotel was by boat - great fun. I then drove from Pokhara to Lumbini (via Tansen) and felt safe all the time. My agent left the route open until the last moment to ensure there were no problems in that area. Good food and great people. I particularly enjoyed my 3 days in Chitwan National Park - no I didn't see the elusive tiger but saw several rhino in the wild of course!!
I stayed in the Hyatt in Kathmandu - it was excellent. Have a super trip
