Planning a trip to Bhutan
Hi,
I am planning a trip to Bhutan in the month of May, this year. I have heard that advance payment should be made before 3 month of arrival in Bhutan.
Bhutan is my favourite country. I have seen a lot of video and read a lot of things about Bhutan. We have planned a vacation in may month. Right now, i didn't contact any of the tour operator. Just wanted to make sure that whether i can plan a trip to Bhutan with less than 1 month.

I planned and executed my trip within one month in June 2012, although I believe this was low season and there was not a lot of demand for air service. I would suggest you contact a tour operator, they will advise if this is possible; if so they will also provide you with application form for the visa, advise how payment should be made and process for you. They should also secure a seat on Druk Air, the national airline. The more advance notice you give, the better your chances. Good luck. Bhutan quickly became my favourite country and one of the few that I would like to return to.
I recommend that you start walking up every staircase you can to prepare yourself for the endless stairs, hills and mountains that you will be climbing, and at altitude too!
Good luck.

Contact an agent in Bhutan NOW. The agent will help you get your visa and will reserve your Druk Air flights. You must have a Bhutanese driver/guide with you throughout your stay. The minimum cost is about $275 per person per day.
