Photos of Thailand
After Malaysia, Thailand was the destination for my three week Asian journey in November 2006. Please have a look at the photos.

Like most people on this forum, I really enjoy Bangkok. The following are particularly memorable:
- a day trip to Koh Phi Phi with its beautiful limestone formation and beaches.
- Bangkok – simply interesting and unforgettable. I love the Grand Palace and Emerald Buddha Temple, the Marble Temple, Vimanmek Mansions, John Thompson House, the markets, the street stalls etc.
- Ayutthaya – UNESCO world heritage ruins and tranquil getaway from Bangkok
- Bang Pa-In Palace – very pretty grounds that show strong European influence. Definitely another highlight.
Once again, my research I have done here has helped me a lot.
Thanks to all those who have left such wonderful comments for my previous albums.

WOW!!!! That's all I can say. That, and I can't wait to see these places in person. Seven months to go and still some planning to do. Every time I see pictures someone has taken and read trip reports I wish we had a couple of months instead of just three weeks.
Thanks so much for sharing these.

Thanks to all who left such wonderful comments! Much appreciated.
Hi Shanek – I was digging up some of my old brochures, and I think that that the beach with the huts (photo #108-110) is either on the Khai Island or Bamboo Island. I am sorry, this is one part I did not take the note of the name of the island…but our tour guide took us there after we visited Koh Phi Phi.
Hi LeighTravelClub, the photo you referred to was probably taken on the boat while we were traveling to the island. If I didn’t answer your question, please let me know the photo number. Thanks!
