Photos from my trip to Thailand, Laos, Cambodia and Vietnam
Hi folks,
I did a solo backpacking trip in Nov and Dec 2006 to Thailand, Laos, Cambodia and Vietnam.
I posted over 2000 pics on my website.
My camera was a pocketsized Canon SD400 which worked great. I also carried a tiny tripod, the GorillaPod which was very handy for low light exposures. I took two 4GB SD cards and 3 batteries. The charger worked everywhere. For backups, you can go into any streetcorner internet place and have DVDs burned from your cards (4.7 GB each). Make at least two copies. One to send home and one to carry. Another tip: many photo subjects there are either spread very long horizontally or vertically. So a wide-angle lens would come in handy. Also, taking panoramas is a really easy and cool way to capture large subjects.
I hope you enjoy my pics!

I really enjoyed your pictures! Some brought back great memories but most were a great introduction to places I haven't gone yet. You really have an eye for the unique - the Buddha with the airplane in the sky and my favorite, the man reading the paper, selling tickets (lottery?) while sitting in a foot of water?
