Photos - Bi Feng Xia Panda Research Center

This Sunday we finally got to the Bi Feng Xia Panda Research Center (located about 2 hours motorway drive from Chengdu) - and what a surprise we got.
This place is located in the very scenic Bi Feng Gorge - so a trip here is a lot more than just viewing Pandas - it also involves visiting a very pleasant country park.
The other thing we found is that the Panda Center is separated from the Bi Feng drive-in Safari Zoo - you buy a specific ticket for the Pandas - you don't have to go anywhere near the Zoo area.
The ticket costs 80RMB for adults.
To get to Bi Feng Xia - you have to get to Ya'an (lots of busses there from Chengdu, Emei or Leshan). We saw a Bus number 4 heading back to Ya'an from the park - so we assume it’s this one you have to catch to travel the 15km's out from the city to the Bi Feng Xia. From Chengdu to the park gate took us just under 2 hours driving – but we have our own transport.
This place is really neat - a lot bigger than the Chengdu Center - and a lot more scenic. Most of the Pandas from Wolong have been transferred out here.
