Philippines Typhoon Megi & Traveling in Danger

Hi fellow Fodorites! I'm curious if anyone else is traveling to the Philippine islands or surrounding areas right now,with the "Super Typhoon" Megi? My sister Chrissi and her husband are over there picking up a little 2-year-old girl they're adopting. They lived their for 3 years and know their way around, but I am still very concernced for them.

Have to trust and pray that they'll get home safely. It inspired me to think about our concepts of what is safe, what is dangerous, and if life is really intended to be lived "safely".
