Hello,
I will be stopping in the Philippines for 1 week (1 night in Manila upon arrival and 1 night in Manila before departure). Can anyone recommend an itinerary? Does 3 nights Cebu and then 2 nights Boracay sound reasonable?
What is the best way to make domestic airflight reservations?

Hello, Vietnam

I have never been to Cebu but there is sure to be more then enough for you to do. Boracay is FANTASTIC--the beaches are so beautiful there!!! We stayed two nights and although I would've liked to stay longer, two nights did give us a chance to see the beaches, take a boat out to snorkel, and lots of swimming (all this in the middle of a typhoon). In Boracay we stayed at Casa Pilar for about $75 a night for a cottage with A/C.
We use a travel agent in the PI (we go for 1-2 months at a time). Your best bet would probably be to look at the PAL or Cebu Pacific website. Asian Spirit goes to Cebu and Boracay and will be a little bit cheaper but they're are known for "Fly as Asian, Land as a Spirit". Their planes are kind of old but I did fly them from Manila to Bohol with no problem.
Have a great trip and be sure to check out the shopping and nightlife in Manila!!
We stayed in Cebu this past Dec for two weeks. It is really beautiful. Plantation Bay Resort is a gorgeous 5 star resort. Also, take a Supercat boat ride to Bohol to see the Chocolate Hills, and stay at the Panglao Island Beach Resort if you can. It is also beautiful. It's about 1.5 hrs by boat from Cebu City. There's lots to do in the city. For native food eat at the Lighthouse Restaurant in Gaisano Country Mall. For steak and seafood, a new restaurant called Olio in Crossroads. I've never been to Boracay, but I hear it's beautiful. Bohol has some really lovely beaches that are less of a tourist destination. Have fun!
