Passport question
Do some countries require you to have a certain number of unused pages left when you enter the country? I am talking about Thailand and Bali and I have 8 stampable pages free. Is that going to be okay?

You should be fine.
Stamps for Thailand are quite small. Indonesia I don't know. However some countries like Lao and Cambodia stick a whole page into your book which I find really annoying especially a when you consider how much each page in a passport has cost!!!

I recently discovered a good thing about those big Cambodian visas: They use old fashioned paste to stick them in your passport.
After a year or so, the glue gets brittle and you can peel them out with no trace left as evidence.
I recently reclaimed 6 whole passport pages this way!!

8 Visa pages is enough for Indonesia. They need to be marked "visa" on the top. I don't know of any official minimum number of open pages, but I once had a client who was harassed at Immigration because she didn't have 6 blanks.
The important to remember is that your passport needs to be valid for at least 6 months from your arrival date in Indonesia. They are quite strict about this.

Thank you for your help. I thought I remembered reading, maybe on this board, that you had to have at least 8 pages for Bali. Since I am going to Thailand first, wasn't sure if I had enough pages.
