Package employment in Asia other than ESL teaching?
Just out of curiosity, are there any specific types of jobs that offer "package employment" for expats in Asia?.
By "package employment" of course, I mean:
1) housing provided,
2) transportation costs
3) visa fees
and etc...
I'm obviously an English teacher in Asia but my question is this:
Is English teaching the only (or best) "package employmemt" opportunity available for expats in Asia or are there are other well kept-secrets out there?
If you have anything constructive to add, please help out.
note: I'm already trying to look into Volunteering but I'm turned off by the high fees that some of these international and/or grassroots organizations ask for. I would however, be interested in volunteering in Asia (as a teacher perhaps) if housing/meals were provided.

I can only comment on Thailand: English teaching is the biggest field available to expats. Most schools pay visa/WP fees; some cover transportation, only a few provide accommodation. In my experience having accommodation provided is not always a good thing. Usually it is shared, so you loose a lot of privacy, often you are being observed by the school for inappropriate nocturnal behaviour, and if you loose your job you loose your accommodation too - so dismissal becomes a double-edged blow. The only other expats I know of in Thailand who get packages are specialists like petroleum engineers or company executives. If there are any "well kept secrets out there" then the holders of these secrets are unlikely to reveal them to a stranger on a public Internet forum.

sandy, I've had full package expat jobs in Hong Kong and Jakarta. I'm involved in a specific industry and have years of experience in that field. Even so, these full package jobs are few and far between.
In Southeast Asia especially the most commonly held job for foreigners without technical skills are with NGO's. These could be related to health, human rights, environment, refuges. There's a wide range of agencies operating throughout the region. The pay is low but they do provide the three elements that you list.
I assume that as a teacher you have at least the equivalent of a bachelor's degree. In that case you should have no problem finding a position in an NGO that focuses in an area that is of interest to you.
