Question: Which airline?
Secondly, your ticket provider (hopefully a bonded Travel Agent) will be able to tell you.
Then there is a small matter of your journey. Over the Atlantic and Pacific Ocaens there is the 'pce' concept whereas most everywhereie it is weigned in kilo's.
If your Oceanic flight (using piece concept) is continued (without a break) the 'piece' concept continues.
If your break ... then the 'weight' concept kicks in.
The piece concept is usually TWO PIECES NOT MORE THAN 36 KILO (Check! Check!) EACH.
On weight concept you can go from 15 KILO with RYANAIR to 22 KILO A LOT OF OTHER DESTINATIONS.
Use Google to search out your airlines web site - often your itinerary will have the info.

Go to http://www.airlinequality.com/ and look under the airline ratings. Just about every airline is rated. At the bottom of the rating is a link to the airline's web page, which often, but not always, will have the information you're looking for.
