I am booked to stay at Poppies in Kuta for two weeks. I think I need to experience another part of Bali for a night or two. Any suggestions?
One last Bali question

- 25 BALI UBUD VICEROY HOTEL IN JUNE

Definitely Ubud! IMO the best part of Bali is Ubud with beautiful hotels, scenery, food and lots of culture.
Candidasa, Tulamben (if you dive or snorkel), Nusa Lembongan if you surf.
Ubud is charming. I would stay there for a minimum of four days. It is very different than a beach.
Ubud it is - any hotel in particular?
take a look at alam shanti....
There are many, many options of places to stay in/near Ubud.
One of the most romantic hotel I've visited is the Begawan Giri but it has now changed ownership and it's now call the Como Shambhala Estate. It has everything you want and more but it's pricey. I call the then Begawan Giri on the phone and manage to get a big discount(40 - 50%) so for the price of a phone call you might get lucky. We stayed in the Wanakasa residence in the master bedroom suite.

Hanuman- Did you call Como recently? For a reservation at what time of year?
We'll be back in Bali in October and we were going to go to Kajane for the 3rd time, but it would be nice to go to a new place, and with some luxury for a few days if the price is right. Thanks for the heads up and please let me know if you think there is someone in particular I should speak with.
susncrg,
I last time I called them was a few years before the Como group took over. BTW, the link above is not the Como's official site here's the proper link to the property with their email and local phone number: http://www.comoshambhala.como.bz/default.aspx?code=1-9036
I've did called the Uma in Ubud, another Como hotel, and got a discount there so they will "negotiate".
Good luck!
