My husband and I are considering an October biking tour in Bhutan. We have trekked in Nepal previously, visited large areas of Thailand so are hoping to see something new and wondrous. How does Bhutan rate for your travel adventures and what type of weather will we encounter in October? Also, beyond the biking portion what are the highlights to see. Thanks!

Hello Kacollier,
October will be the best time for you to do the biking as well as attend festivals and do other culture tours. October is also considered as harvesting period whereby one get to see farmers working on the paddy field. For the adventure you can also choose some short treks around the country. The biking would be more fun because the traffic in Bhutan is so less and in some parts of the country you may face 7 to 8 motors a day.
Overall the weather remains beautiful except in the begining of the month we have uncertain rainfall which lasts for a week.
As You can only visit on a guided tour (including guide and driver) I wonder how a biking will run.
