Hi, greetings from Singapore. Am planning a trip to Noto Hanto this May with my family of 5 adults and 2 kids (3 & 6). Plan on arriving Osaka & do Universal Studio for 2 days (any suggestion for family friendly convenient & economical accom?) before getting on a rental van (with Navi) to Kanazawa (accom?) as a base to explore south of Noto for 2 days then head north for Wakura (accom?) to explore the north for another 2 days. Heard there is a new domestic airport at Noto, was just wandering whether I can return the rental van at the airport and take a flight to Tokyo? Appreciate help on the accom & access (rental company too) as I'm not familiar with Kansai & Ishikawa. Thanks.

Trip Ideas

Noto Apt has two daily flights to Haneda, on All Nippon at 1145 (NH748) and 1545 (NH750).
Thing about dropping your car at Noto is, even if you are allowed to, rental firms in Japan always charge a drop-off fee for one-way rental, on per-km basis. Typically 8,500 yen up to 100 km, 3,200 yen for subsequent 50 km. Nippon Rent a Car has an office at Noto Apt, among others.
Thanks Alec, might change my plan and skip Osaka altogether. Just fly in to Noto from Tokyo and back. Any recommendations for a family friendly ryokan at Kanazawa, Wakura Onsen or Wajima? Will be great if they have a open air one with sea / mountain view.
