Hi All!
We are starting to think about our honeymoon and I remembered how much info I got while planning a trip last year that I thought I'd post another.
We live in Toronto and want to honeymoon in Bali and/or Maldives. I thinking that flying into Singapore would be our best bet - am I right?? I know the price of flights from SIN to BAL are reasonable but from SIN to Maldives seem quite high. Is there another city we could consider??
Any and all advise would be appreciated!
Thanks
North America to Singapore

Maldives is over 2,000 miles from Singapore. The shorter route is to connect via Dubai.
For Bali, you can connect through various cities like Tokyo or Hong Kong, both of which has non-stop service from Toronto. There's no YYZ-SIN non-stop.
danu, you should try going in both directions. From the West Coast the Cathay flight from Vancouver to Hong Kong has a good connection to the Cathay flight to Denpasar.
Probably the least painful is the non-stop SQ to Singapore to Newark. Then on to Bali from Singapore. Or you could go in the other direction on Singapore through Frankfurt.
If you go through Europe you'll find a lot of options to Bali from just about any major city, especially during the summer months.
The Maldives would probably be better served through Europe as well. For example there are non-stop flights from Frankfurt.
