Non-Stop Jet flights from Subang (city airport) in KL to Bangkok
I cannot seem to locate a major carrier i.e. Malaysia Air or even Dragon Air that offer scheduled flights in the late afternoon/early evening from the KL city airport-Subang-to Bankok's main airport.
Am I missing something or do I have to take a taxi for an hour+ to get to KUL-the new major airport- sit and wait for4-5 hours??
HELP!

Dragonair is a Hong Kong based Airline who certainly would not be flying that route, to my knowledge there are no flights from Subang to Bangkok whatsoever, anyway Subang isn't a City Airport( as in close to downtown ) airport, it's about 22 km from KL and KLIA is about 50 km.
The Airport Express train from KL to the airport anyway will get you there faster than it would have taken to get to the 'old' airport so it's all non starters.
From what I see your choices are:
1320 Thai
1340 Air Asia
1515 Malaysia
1600 Gulf ( Tue and Fri only )
1845 Air Asia
2015 Thai
So if I was you I would go for the 1515 Malaysia or the 2015 Thai

StanKase,
Subang Airport is no longer in use. They have shifted the airport to Sepang which is much further away than Subang. From here, you can either fly Malaysia Airlines or Air Asia (budget airline)or Thai Airways to Bangkok.

Our flight from Redang Islands arrives non-stop into Subang. Maybe only charter-type carriers use it. I therefore should take the 1 hour taxi ride to the new main airport and take Malaysia Airlines to Bangkok.
At 3:00 in the afternoon how long should I allow for taxi ride? If I arrive 75 minutes before departure to KUL am I o'k to to check-bags and go through security? How much should I expect the taxi to cost from Subang to KUL?
Am I safe to check bags at KUL thru to JFK-New York, the flight times give me 4 hours connection or should I collect my bags in Bangkok and check them again to JFK (Malaysia Air to Thai Air)?

You may just make it with 75 minutes to check in and get through immigration at KLIA but it is cutting it a bit too fine. You'd be safer if you had at least 90 minutes.
For your taxi from Subang Airport to KLIA, it should cost no more than RM50-60, seehttp://www.klia.com.my/index.php?ch=8&pg=3&ac=1688 for a list of taxi fares to/from KLIA and the number to contact.
