NHK World TV Show - Tokyo Eye - Archives

Does anyone else get this show? We get it here live in Hawaii. For the Tokyo tourist the show has a ton of tips and suggestions and the archives, some with video clips are available here;
http://www3.nhk.or.jp/nhkworld/engli.../archives.html

You can toggle the year to catch past episodes, and they provide links to the featured places web sites.
(I use Chrome to open the Japanese web sites to take advantage of the automatic translation feature)

I will have to check that out.

Another fodorite (Mara, maybe) who mentioned another NHK program. I couldn't find it on the NHK website but did find it on youtube. One of the shows featured Kyoto and proceeded to focus on different parts of that city.

mrwunrfl,
I think the show mentioned is called Mapping Kyoto Streets.
Here is a link to archives,

Show Information

No video, but some great lists and maps of shops and sights, with links, for armchair travel and planning.

One more show that is great for Japanese arts and crafts is The Mark of Beauty

After the last show I've put a Donabe pot on my list of future souveneir purchases
