In both cases, there are almost no restaurants or bars open at the airport at that hour, but do take a quick check as you come through. You may find more open for the Giants game. I would first say to try this site http://www.allsportshk.com/, although I can see that these will be replays in the evening. But the Jockey in Happy Valley is a fun little pub and would be the place I was going to recco in any event. If you don’t listen to the news or buy a paper its virtually impossible that you would hear the results of the game just walking around Hong Kong, so the replay could still be a surprise….

There are usually bars open in Causeway Bay then, but on the 1st day of the New Year I can’t say with confidence that this will be the case. (This is the one day of the entire year when they are likely to be closed.) You may have some luck at 4 am, but they may not stay open much past that. Not knowing what hotel you are at in Causeway Bay, I would just say to walk a bit around your hotel (or ask at the front desk) and see what you can find. Some large international hotels to try in the area would be:

The Park

If there is a US Navy ship in town, it is possible that the Fleet Arcade in Wan Chai may be open and the restaurant there may be showing the game (or the boys there may know where to go to see the game), go to http://www.fenwickpier.com/main/ and you can see a map and some information.

Have you checked with your hotel to see if they carry that channel either in your room in a bar or on a PC in their business centre?
