New Bangkok Airport

Does anyone have more recent news about when the new airport will open and what flights will go in/out of it? I heard September 2005, or maybe sometime in 2006. We will be going in December to Bangkok, Siem Reap, and Ko Samui. Does anyone know if those flights go from the same airport?

Dec. will be in the old airport.

all last month they were still talking late october ...the road is not even built and lots of other things need to be done...my guess is october, 2006..

It's September now. I can't believe this airport is opening, but haven't yet seen any official report.

Last thing I read was July 2006. You will be in the old airport in December.

Might open in 2006 but there are still lots of things to do. There have been a few "problems" along the way. LOL. Might be 2007.

In the meantime, Don Muang Airport will continue to be open. All Bkk flights to anywhere leave from Don Muang.
