Need URGENT Help
I am living in CO state, and I received my name change, to my maiden name at a Boulder Court, CO. I have changed my last name and wanted to update that in my passport. So I have sent all the documents with my original passport to Houston office March 18, 2014. I sent nearly 73 emails to Houston office regarding my passport status, and calling their number everyday which is not even any response and I am unable to get any assistance help from the Indian Consulate Office in Houston, where I submitted my application on March 18, 2014, requesting my name change in my Indian passport.
I repeatedly requested for my updated passport for the past three months and all I get is a “form letter” saying that it is being processed. I have not seen my parents and family 10 years. My father passed away recently and I was unable to go to India. My mother is a renal dialysis patient and very ill now and is yearning to see me and my children before she pass away. I am unable to get through to a helpful person at the Houston Office. I really need to go to India this month to see my mother before she pass away. I AM VERY MUCH CONCERNED ABOUT MY ORIGINAL PASSPORT BECAUSE I SENT TO THE HOUSTON OFFICE. i sent MANY emails to [email protected] and [email protected], but i have not any response from them. This is my email address: [email protected]. PLEASE anyone can help me or suggestion?

Try contacting an expeditor to help you. My daughter used the A Briggs company when she was having issues getting a visa in a timely fashion but I am sure there are other companies as well. I am sorry you are having such difficulties.
I don't know if traveling to Houston would be helpful but it might be worth a try if nothing else seems to work.
Good luck!

I can feel your situation and sorry for the same. You had better contact a mediator to help you out. Or, you should visit the Indian Consulate Office in Houston instead of waiting longer to hear from them.
Best of luck!

have you tried the emails and phone numbers listed here
http://india.visahq.com/embassy/united-states/ ?
I don't believe rattanw is working on these issues anymore. In fact, I'm not sure that BLS is working on them. Their contract was supposed to be running out and and another company was to replace - but I see they are still mentioned on the Indian embassy website. So . . a little confused.
See this article also: http://www.americanbazaaronline.com/...ndian-embassy/
Then you might try to contact someone at one of the numbers or emails given for Cox Kings Global Services.
Good luck! We (and MANY others) had problems with tourist VISAs to India last year - through the BLS contractor. I had read that their contract wasn't renewed. .. .

BLS is no longer processing visas, thank God. They are an utter disaster.
If you sent your app to the Indian consulate I wonder of they sent it to BLS who I think was still processing apps at the time you sent it. If so good luck.
Have you considered trying to get a new passport by stating the old one has been lost?
