My husband and I will have three full days (4 nights) in Tokyo in mid September. This is our first time to Japan. We plan to stay only in Tokyo and may be take a day trip to Mt. Fuji. I borrow some tour books from library to get some idea how to plan but get really confused by the locations and names. First of all, any suggestion for hotel with a convenient location for subway and trains and sight seeing? Our budget is less than US$200 per night. It will be better if it can be closer to $150/night if possible. What is a good itinerary for a first time visit to Tokyo with 3 full days? Should we join a day trip tour to Mt. Fuji? Any suggestion for a good tour operator? Any advise would be greatly appreciated!

A great source of information is:

Enjoy!
We stayed in Park Hotel in Mintao. It was an awesome hotel and well located (lots of really good restaurants nearby, plus the Tsukji fish market). A trip to Kamakura and Nikko might be worth it (each is a whole day trip).
It is an awesome country, and the people are extremely polite (I live in Canada, so I have high standards)!
Thank you for both of your replies. After looking through some information from japan-guide and the Park Hotel, we decided to book the Mitsui Garden Hotel Ueno due to the convenient rail line from Narita Airport to Keisei Ueno Station. Are there any comments on this hotel?
