Nai Thon beach Thailand

Hi there, we are a couple looking for a quiet get away and as part of our trip to Thailand, we are planning to spend a few nights at the Pullman Arcadia which is beside Nai Thon beach. Just wondering if there is much in the way of local restaurants etc close to the hotel. I believe that some businesses were demolished recently in part of a " clean up" , so am just curious to know what's left there! Thanks for your help.

Thanks Kathie, that's good to know. Anything you'd recommend?

A lot of places used to close down in Nai Thon during low season, only one road behind the beach has a few shops and restaurants on it. If you head towards Layan and then Laguna there is a larger selection.

The Pullman is a nice hotel though, lovely views from the rooms and we have had good food there twice.

You are close to the airport, approx 8 minutes.

Thanks for your reply Cyansiam. We are looking for a really chilled out holiday this time and will be happy to have a few alternatives close by that we can wander to for lunch or a beer rather that paying hotel prices the whole time. Will definitely check out Layan/Laguna- Is it far? ie is it a taxi ride or a nice walk away? Thanks again.

Sorry for late reply....went to Singapore for a few days!

It is a 10 to 15 minute drive, not walkable as it is the coast road so up and down! Taxis should be easy to get.
