Merry Lao-Swiss in Luang Prabang ... Comments??

Hi There,
just wondering if anybody has stayed in the Merry Lao-Swiss in LP? Trying to find somewhere 'atmospheric' and charming ... but with air-con!
thanks
Carly

Can't help you with this one at all -- but do check out Sayo's Guest House, as it would seem to fit the criteria you have set. Ask for an upstairs room in the main building, preferably looking straight at the temple opposite.

IMHO you don't need aircon - at least in September. I'm not sure how much the temps vary throughout the year - easy for you to check.

The "big top room" that we had at Sayos most certainly does have air-con..... my kids kept setting it WAY down, because we don't have such luxuries at home (right now, I wish we did.... Sydney is HOT today!)! Of course, there is more than one big top room at Sayo's, and I can't vouch for the others (ours was the one with the upstairs mezzanine).

thanks for confirming that alan. will definitely keep the room at Sayo then, as am sure it is same one with mezzanine . and you are right ... i live in sydney too and dont have aircon, and if i can cope with last night, can cope with anything!
cheers,
Carly
