We will be in LP in June and would like to hire a tour guide.
Can anyone recommend one?
I know many people think you don't need a guide in LP but we do like to have one.
Thank you.

I also like to have a guide for my first visit to a city. I used a very congenial man, Ta Keovangsy, whose contact info can be found in my trip report, linked below.
My visit was in 2008 but I'm assuming that the info is still valid; if not, he appears to be on FaceBook under the name of Khamta Keovongsy.

We booked our guide through local travel agent, Exotissimo: http://www.exotissimo.com/ All the guides they set up for us on our trip had an excellent command of history, art, and architecture.
Have a great trip!
