Loved Ao Nang any other areas similar to this

We visited Ao Nang two days before the tsunami hit and we loved it, our next holiday to Thailand will be for a week after visiting Cambodia in December this year. We can fly to Phuket direct from Siem Reap and looking for something similar to Ao Nang. Not keen on the sound of Patong Beach and from what I have read Karon and Kata are also very busy. Would like to have some shops around and restaurants but would prefer to have them nearby rather than having to get a taxi to get to them. Any recommendations
