Hi all. Going to Thailand this year and the best priced flight i have found so far is with a stop at Vienna. On the way out there is just a 30min stop for connection to the next flight. All the the flights are with Austrian/Tyrolean.
Has anyone else done this trip before with only 30min changeover? What was your experience like?
It will be myself, my wife and our 3 yr old son. Oh and my wife is a thai passport holder.
Thanks.

If you are connecting with the same airline and they are the one that issued the tickets then they are responsible for your onward flight. In theory you should make it but your luggage might not arrive with you!

I have no experience of Vienna airport but have used many other European airport en route from London and would consider myself very lucky if I made the connection in just 30 mins ( especially with a 3 year old in tow) . Your wife bein a Thai passport holder should not be a problem as I presume you will not have to go through immigration in Austria as a transit passenger. However, if the airline allow the schedule then presumably they know best!
Not sure who you have tried for flights but www.statravel.co.uk have some really good deals at the moment. I just booked London to Quito flights for £250 less than I could get them anywhere else. I am sur ether have some good deals for Asia as well.

Hi
thanks for the replies. Austria have said it is their responsibility to get us going again but next flight is the next day as they only have 1 outgoing flight to BKK. They have earlier flights to Vienna from LHR but its then a 12hr wait.
I have looked at Eva as that is who I usually go with direct but due to the current prices, £2500 for 2 adults and 1 child is a bit much, the last time I went was 2 years ago and every time we have gone (same time of year Nov) we have never paid more than £550 adult - now its just all tax!!
Have looked at Asia but they are not going to/through UK or Europe anymore due to..... the high taxes!!
Any other recommendations you have please let me know.
As direct is too expensive it looks like a connection is our only option but we are wanting a short a connection as possible.
We hope to go 2nd Nov and return 30th Nov.
