Hi JaneB!
I haven't stayed at the Meridien but we have stayed at the Grand Hotel and the Amansara (just back 3 weeks ago!) and we have had lunch at the Meridien. As rhkkmk mentioned Siem Reap is very small and the Meridien is about 3-4 years old. Streets names are quite vague in Siem Reap but the Grand Hotel, Amansara, and Meridien are all quite close to one another. Basically all located on "the road to Angkor" The Grand Hotel is at the head of the road with the Amansara across the street at a diagonal. There is an empty field after the Grand Hotel then the hospital followed by a few other buildings and then you are at the Meridien. None of the hotels have views of Angkor Wat but they (these three hotels) are all only about five minutes (driving time not walking) away from the checkpoint for entry to the "Angkor complex". Hope this helps a little! Have a terrific holiday!
