Layover in Bangkok on Chinese New Year's eve?

Jump to last reply

Our flight from Myanmar to the US just got changed, and we get into Bangkok Airport at 4:30 pm on February 18, and are flying out at 2 am. We want to get out of the airport and go into the city to walk around and enjoy the city. We spent time in Bangkok a few years ago and saw the main sights. It looks like feb 18 is chinese new year's eve. Is there somewhere we should go to experience this, or is there some other recommendation for 5 hours or so?
