Late October-Which Thai Beach/
Looking for a Thai beach from Oct.23-26. From past posts, it seems that this is when the rain switches from Phuket to Koh Samui. Including others, which beach is likely to receive the least rain for those dates? Thaks in advance.

This give you an idea, rainfall inchesbr />
Sep / Oct / Novbr />
Phuket area 16.5 /12.0 / 8.2
Samui area 8.2 / 10.2 / 11.9
Hua Hin area 3.2 / 7.9 / 8.0
Pattaya area 12.6 / 9.1 / 8.0
So you can see the problem!! The period is also very unpredictable. I don't think it is possible to give any suggestion, I think best idea is to accept that you might get lucky or unlucky wherever you choose and perhaps think about what other activities would interest you and let that hep decide, I would perhaps though suggest mainland as opposed to islands in case of any weather related delays ( Phuket though is connected by a short bridge to the mainland ). That is quite low season, if you plan to travel from bangkok I would personaly wait until you are there, check the Bangkok Post for the weather, see where the sun is, and then book there and then flights if necessary and accommodation, that I think is the best idea, at least you could see a 5-7 day forweard forecast and that certainly would help, so I would wait untril you are there and simply book the day before.

Sounds like the best thing to do is check the weather reports for the various beaches, while in BKK. Any suggestions for which reports? Newspaper, internet, TV, etc?
Once a determination is made, will it be difficult to obtain last minute air reservations to Phuket,Krabi or Koh Samui?

Just pick up the Daily Nation or Bangkok Post Newspapers, both have comprehensive weather sections, you should have no problems getting last minute flights at that time. Don't forget that it's not just Phuket/Samui/Krabi there are plenty of other places, the weather Phuket would usually be very similar to Krabi. Also check for Hua Hin/Cha Am and also Pattaya area as both close to Bangkok, also check out Koh Chang.
