Laos OR Vietnam

Jump to last reply

I'm interested in trekking. I'm finding hard to decide between trekking in Laos (Luang namtha/ Phongsali) or Vietnam (sapa/ha giang/mai chau/Pu Luong Nature Reserve)
Has anyone ever done trekking in some of this places that could review/compare them.
I want authentic places but I want the most scenic ones too... (i.e. I don't like that sapa it's so touristy and I would prefer to go to, let's say, Ha giang. But I won't mind the tourism of Sapa if the setting it's better then the one in Ha giang)
