Krabi, Thailand- Need help with where to stay

Jump to last reply

Hello, four of us are traveling (25-28 years old) and will be arriving in Krabi January 6th and staying until the 10th. I am very confused where to stay, because every time I look up different islands in Krabi etc., it seems that it's not a great area. I would love some recommendations within the 50-70USD per night range (for four people, so 2 decent sized beds). We are looking to stay somewhere with a mixture of beauty, not too touristy (hate little strips of town with a bunch of cheap souvenir shops, etc.- that's definitely not what we are looking for), things to do/activities, good food, beach, and some form of night life (I don't mean clubs or anything, but night markets/pubs etc to stay out at night). We originally figured we would stay in "Krabi" (now I understand it's not as simple as that) and then make day trips to Kho Phi Phi and Railey. Now I'm just flat out confused where to stay that is in a good area and not incredibly expensive. Any tips and specifics will be VERY appreciated! Thank you =)
