Krabi, Koh Lanta or other

Jump to last reply

I am considering a visit to Southern Thailand. My spouse and I are wanting to snorkel Koh Rok Nok and Phi Phi Island but also do some things inland and get a feel for the local culture and food. We enjoy hiking and might want to try the Elephant Trekking. We love nature and being outside. We like luxury resorts but we are also fine with something that is just fun and a wonderful experience along the lines of 3 stars.

If we stay in Krabi, will the snorkeling boat trips feel out of the way? Are there any nice beaches near Krabi or Railay in which to snorkel?

Do you have hike suggestions or adventure suggestions for us?

Should we split the time up in Koh Lanta and Krabi (we have a week there) and then we will head to Khao Lak.

Grateful for any resort suggestions as well as snorkel or activity based adventures.

Thank you!
