Krabi - best area for July visit
Hi travellers,
Wondering if anyone has been to Krabi in early July and can suggest if its best to stay in Aonang or Railay West or another area. Dont want anywhere too touristy/nightlife as my kids are 9 and 11 but do want some good local restaurants within walking distance.
ALso worried about the rough seas during this period if we need to take frequent boat rides back and forth Railay. Although the beaches seem to be best there.
Looked at Railay Village Resort, Bhu Nga Thani, Centara and Holiday Inn (Ao Nang). Want enough space and big enough pool for kids without being too old and rundown.
Any suggestions?
Many thanks

You've chosen not such a good time of the year for Krabi. You can expect 10 inches of rain during the month and the seas are likely to be rough and the beaches red-flagged. Why not opt for an area with better weather: Koh Samui or Hua Hin.

If you want plenty around you then Ao Nang , but if you want nice beach you need to get away from Ao Nang.
No one can tell you just how much rain you might get but seas can be rough also and that is important to remember.
Does Koh Samui appeal as whether should be better at that time
