Koyo for 2012

Jump to last reply

We have just sent friends on a 2 week trip to Japan in November (2 nights Nara, 7 nights Kyoto, 5 nights Tokyo--their choice). They are leaving November 20--I think i part so late because of when they could use miles for business class seats.
We had a wonderful 3 weeks in 2008 from November 13 until early December (tokyo, hakone, kyoto, koya-san, miyajima, kyoto) with spectacular foliage. We thought this is the new post global warming world. But then saw somewhere that the autumn leaves should be changing in October rather than November this year. Does anyone (HT for example) know?
Domo arigato and mahalo--someday we hope to return for the sakura, which I know is even harder to catch when one must plan in advance.
