Koh Samet

Has anyone any advice on where to stay in Koh Samet - Hotel and position on the island which is accessible.

I building it on as an extention to a 5 week trip through Thailand-Laos-Cambodia-Vietnam. I thought before after a long haul flight then some hard travelling before me, I could relax a bit on a beach etc. I don't want the palacial standard, just clean with shower and near to the beach serving food that all whom have gone before me to this region bang on about.
