KL to Penang

Hello...Im spending 3 full days in KL and three full days in Penang.... in early feb....Would it be better to fly between these two, or are there things to see on the bus or train/ferry way?(how much time is needed for train or bus)Im thinking its going to take just as much time to fly(time spent in airports)as it will to take land transportation....Yes,my first time in Malaysia....Thanks for the help

Air asia is a good cheap way to fly. We are paying $47 for 2 of us with reserved seats, insurance, and extra luggage. we booked it a while a go, but still your cheapest option probably.

WE enjoyed the bus. I think it took about 3 hours? The bus was new, food served very tasty, road was smooth and rest stops immaculate. We took snacks as well, and enjoyed the scenery. They had a movie on boar with plenty of singing and dancing, but the dialogue was in Malay.

Bus service from KL to Penang takes around 4 hours and is real convenient.

You can purchase tickets online for this particular company www.aeroline.com.my

Otherwise the KL bus station should have plenty of other on-the-spot options but those would not be 'luxurious' buses.
